What is Starbase Tortuga? Imagine a pirate who's already made his fortune, and grown weary of the tough life in space. He buys an asteroid, some derelict hulls, welds himself a port, where any scallywag or buccaneer can find some of the comforts from home... and some of the comforts that you can't get at home, if you know what we mean. It's in that spirit that we created this 'play space.' And it can grow - plans include RPG games over IRC, match lists for finding partners at other games, and more.Be part of the Tortuga experience! Sign into Battlenet with your SC2 account, join the 'Blackheart' chat channel, and you'll be invited to play.Our games are friendly, and we're not trying to - nor can we, honestly - form The Greatest StarCraft II Team Ever. For those of us old enough to remember logging on to BBSes, TradeWars 2002 is the definitive game of that era. The Blackheart command staff have been playing it again lately, and discovered that it's also a timeless classic that never loses its luster. Come play this text-based space simulation!Sell Fuel Ore, Organics, and Equipment to earn your fortune. Buy low, sell high, and watch out for the Ferrengi. Will you amass great wealth and upgrade your ship to a Battle Cruiser, Imperial Starship, or Interdictor Cruiser? Will you slaughter the evil aliens and earn enough rank to earn a Federal commission, or will you space helpless colonists and rob ports and become a scourge upon the stars? It's entirely up to you.Playing:You'll want to grab a telnet client and access bhtw.dyndns.org. Once you do, you'll be in the game!
